The Patriot Post® · VA Busy Partying
Last year the General Services Administration held a $820K conference in Las Vegas complete with massive luxury suites and bubble baths for regional commissioner Jeffrey Neely, a $75,000 bicycle-building exercise and a $58,000 audio-visual bill to play ridiculous music videos produced by employees. These are but a few of the abuses administered by the GSA, but they’re evidently not the only agency excessilvly wasting your tax dollars – and now it’s our veterans that are suffering for it. The House Oversight Committee is investigating the Veterans Affairs for allegedly spending $6.1 million on two conferences, $50,000 producing a parody video and $98,000 on goodie bag stuffers among other misuses. The VA is severely backlogged with pending claims – but lavish junkets are ostensibly priority number one.
