A gaggle of federal bureaucrats departed Washington this month for a warmer venue, the Virgin Islands – at taxpayer expense, of course. The Department of Interior’s U.S. Coral Reef Task Force did so in the name of preserving coral reefs, though no word yet on the impact of the carbon footprint of those flights on reefs. Meanwhile, critical flight training for military aviators, and training for our ground forces, has been cut to the bones.
