Congress has just seven working days before the end of this session, but they do manage to find time for the really important things. The Committee on Science, Space and Technology, chaired by Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX), met Wednesday for a two-hour hearing called “Astrobiology: Search for Biosignatures in our Solar System and Beyond.” That’s right – a hearing on life on other planets. We suppose it’s far too late for a hearing concerning intelligent life in Washington.
