We previously reported that Health and Human Services (HHS) failed to safeguard Healthcare.gov after having three years (and hundreds of millions of dollars) to make the system secure – a debacle security expert John McAfee described as “a catastrophic failure.” And despite Obama’s “fixed it” announcement, other experts are warning that the site might be more vulnerable now than it was before. David Kennedy, CEO of the online security firm TrustedSec, says it may take “over a year to at least address some of the critical-to-high exposures on the website itself.” And Morgan Wright, CEO of Crowd Sourced Investigations, explains, “There’s not a plan to fix this that meets the sniff test of being reasonable.” Not exactly mission accomplished…
