Christmas is approaching, which means it’s time for the first family to take their annual trip to Hawaii – at taxpayer expense, of course. This year’s 17-day junket will be the Obamas’ sixth vacation to the Aloha State since entering the Oval Office. They’ll be staying at a $24,500/week beachfront home. Last year’s trip was estimated to have cost around $4 million. Interestingly, The Washington Times notes, “Mr. Obama was forced to cut short his vacation [last Christmas] and fly back to Washington on the day after Christmas to resume negotiations on an emergency budget deal with Congress. This year, Congress is on track to approve a two-year budget deal before the Christmas holiday.” Wouldn’t want to interrupt Obama’s opulent excursion again by making him “work”…
