White House Press Secretary Jay Carney did his usual obfuscation today when asked how many young people had enrolled in ObamaCare. Remember, such enrollment from the young and healthy is critical to subsidize the old and sick in the risk pool. Carney would only say that he didn’t have “any data specifically broken down by age” and then referred the reporter to ask the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for that data. He also offered this helpful insight: Young people often “wait until the last minute to get their paperwork done or their online applications done.” We’re sure that has nothing to do with a non-functioning website.
