A new [Gallup poll]((http://www.gallup.com/poll/166535/record-high-say-big-government-greatest-threat.aspx) reveals that a record percentage of Americans believe that big government is the greatest threat facing our nation. According to the report, “Seventy-two percent of Americans say big government is a greater threat to the U.S. in the future than is big business or big labor, a record high in the nearly 50-year history of this question. The prior high for big government was 65% in 1999 and 2000.” Even among Democrats, 56% view the Feds as a viable threat. The trend has been for a steady increase in Americans skeptical of big brother initiatives since Obama began his tenure. And with ObamaCare quickly unraveling, the NSA under fire for recent spying allegations, and the numerous other scandals beleaguering this administration, that figure is prone to jump even further.
