ObamaCare’s recent promotional featuring “Pajama Boy” may have purposely depicted the infantilization of American pop-culture, but evidently Obama officials aren’t too crazy about getting infants insurance coverage. The Associated Press reports, “The Obama administration confirms there is no quick and easy way for consumers to update their coverage under the new health law for the birth of a baby and other common life changes.” These updates were supposed to be automated, but Healthcare.gov is currently unable to process alterations. This impacts insurance coverage along with federal subsidies available to consumers. Therefore, individuals need to contact their private insurer first to update their policy, and will be required to followup up with the feds later. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services simply stated that the automated system would become “available later.” Because three years was obviously not enough time. On the other hand, the website runs like it was built by a bunch of 3-year-olds.
