Democrat Virginia state senate candidate Jennifer Wexton has some ‘splainin’ to do for a campaign ad she’s running in the state. Wexton touts her background as a prosecutor who “put violent offenders in prison.” She then promises to fight Republicans, whom she likens to those violent offenders: “In the Virginia Senate, I’ll fight just as hard against Tea Party Republicans who would take away a woman’s health care and her right to choose, even in cases of rape and incest.” Republicans have long spoken against rape and abortion, but since she’s a woman and a Democrat, she evidently gets a free pass.
