CNN’s always arrogant and ever-distasteful Piers Morgan chimed in on the Senate’s 85-page Benghazi report by blaming the debacle on … ambassador Christopher Stevens. “When you actually get into the weeds of this pretty lengthy report, it also is very clear that one of the people who may be most to blame for not reacting to the threat and for increasing security despite being urged to repeatedly was the ambassador himself,” Morgan asserted. On the contrary, the report specifically calls into question the State Department’s handling of security despite numerous warning signs and requests that should have prompted State to increase the consulate’s security. By Morgan’s logic the terrorist attack could have also been prevented had there only been more gun control.
