Texas Democrat gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis came under fire for her falsified life story this week, but she wasn’t done with her missteps. She counter-attacked her Republican opponent, Greg Abbott, for his “campaign attacks on the personal story of my life as a single mother who worked hard to get ahead.” Never mind that her story was fabricated. Worse, she continued, “I am proud of where I came from and I am proud of what I’ve been able to achieve through hard work and perseverance. And I guarantee you that anyone who tries to say otherwise hasn’t walked a day in my shoes.” Abbott has been a paraplegic for nearly 30 years. Smooth move, Wendy.
