Once again, the commander in chief looks foolish. After drawing a “red line” with Syria over chemical weapons, Barack Obama backed off when they were used. He then made an agreement with Syria over disposal of those weapons, and bragged in his SOTU, “American diplomacy, backed by the threat of force, is why Syria’s chemical weapons are being eliminated.” Not so fast. The rogue nation has turned over just 5% of its (declared) cache for destruction, and will almost certainly miss next week’s deadline for all of them. Maybe the Syrians like their weapons and Obama is letting them keep them.
