North Carolina NAACP president William Barber II is at it again. Last month, he called black Republican Sen. Tim Scott a “ventriloquist dummy,” which he later defended. This week he slammed the GOP for “frantically seek[ing] out people of color to become mouthpieces for their particular agenda.” Because people of color couldn’t possibly think for themselves. Really, who’s the racist?
