Just days after the State Department’s finding that the Keystone pipeline would have no negative environmental impact, Barack Obama’s former Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar, put his stamp of approval on the project. “At the end of the day,” he said, “we are going to be consuming that oil. So is it better for us to get the oil from our good neighbor from the north, or to bring it from someplace in the Middle East?” Also in that vein Salazar endorsed fracking, which is likewise despised by the envirofascist Left. It’s past time for Obama to acknowledge reality and approve the pipeline.
