Charles and David Koch have been dubbed political enemies for their robust investment in Republican candidates. However, the Left loves to disregard the facts, so let’s dig a little deeper: OpenSecrets.org reveals that between 1989 and 2014, Koch Industries ranks nowhere close to the top of the heap in political donations. In fact, they come in at number 59, with $18 million given to politicos since 1989 (90% allocated to Republicans). Compare that to those in the top 10, where six unions – AFSCME, NEA, IBEW, UAW, Carpenters & Joiners and SEIU – have invested a collective $278 million and we can assure you most of the recipients didn’t have an “R” after their name. AT&T, American Association of Realtors, Goldman Sachs and Act Blue round out the list. Evidently, you’re only an “enemy” if you support conservative causes.
