DNC Chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz can’t understand why anyone would attack Hillary Clinton. “It’s stunning that the Republican leadership is so obsessed with Hillary Clinton and anyone’s personal, private, family business,” she complained. “That they would dredge up 20-year-old issues like that is not only not fair game, it’s offensive.” Bill Clinton practically pioneered the art of personal political attacks, and Democrats have followed the master’s training, so for Wasserman Schultz to complain now is quite a display of chutzpah. But further, what’s truly stunning is that a woman with Hillary Clinton’s history and résumé is in any way considered a qualified or desirable candidate for higher office.
