The Patriot Post® · Holder's Bad Advice
Attorney General Eric Holder has advised state attorneys general that they don’t actually have to enforce laws prohibiting same-sex marriage if they think those laws are “discriminatory.” Even The New York Times expressed surprise at Holder’s statement, saying, “It is highly unusual for the United States attorney general to advise his state counterparts on how and when to refuse to defend state laws.” But Holder himself refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act, and six Democrat attorneys general around the country are likewise refusing to defend their states’ marriage laws. In the end, though, he works for a lawless president – who by the way not long ago said he opposed same-sex marriage – so why would Rule of Law matter?
