What exactly was the climate change slumber party all about? Well, just follow the money – all $100 million of it. According to the L.A. Times, “Democrats are heeding the call of California billionaire Tom Steyer, who has pledged $100 million to back candidates with a program to curb climate change.” The Washington Post adds, “Steyer hosted a recent fundraiser at his San Francisco home that netted the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee $400,000 and where Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and the six other Democratic senators in attendance openly discussed plans for [the] talkathon, according to reports.” Recall that Democrats for years controlled both chambers of Congress under Obama; yet such environmental urgency was dismissed. And keep in mind, there’s been no evidence of warming for 17 years and counting. Democrats face a stark reality with midterms approaching, which explains this renewed drivel.
