North Carolina Democrat Verla Insko got some laughs at a recent state senate hearing, though she didn’t really intend to. As the body was discussing ObamaCare, Insko, who represents Chapel Hill, proved that there are indeed stupid questions. She asked Duke University’s Chris Conover, “What percent of the prostate cancer patients are women?” Befuddled, Conover replied, “I have no idea,” as the chamber broke out in laughter. “I would guess zero,” he added, “but I don’t know that for sure.” This is why politicians shouldn’t be involved in legislating health care.
