The Media Research Center’s Dan Joseph visited American University to test students’ knowledge on basic elements of America’s political system. Nearly all of them were unable to identify even a single senator, much less the number of senators that work on Capitol Hill. But when asked about the hit song of the movie “Frozen,” students were quickly able to identify its title: “Let It Go.” It’s bad enough that AU is located in our nation’s capital, where politicos reside within miles of the campus; unfortunately, these low-info students represent the mindset of most college attendees around the country.
