Some leftists just don’t get the joke. Perhaps that’s because they are the joke. Comedy Central comedian Stephen Colbert recently ran a segment poking fun at those who are “deeply offended” over the Washington Redskins name. To illustrate the absurdity, he announced that he would start his very own “Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever.” The words weren’t out of his mouth before the red-faced professionally aggrieved were calling for his show’s cancellation. Adding drama to the farce, some Native Americans got upset because the incident took attention away form their Redskins crusade. You can’t make this stuff up. As the coup de grâce, Colbert responded by also calling for the cancellation of his own show. Touché.
