Today is the final day to enroll – correction, begin to enroll – for ObamaCare for this year. Those who don’t will face a penalty – correction, a tax – when they file their taxes next year. Or they could just buy a policy in the private market. Naturally, on the final day, Healthcare.gov crashed. In a statement, HHS announced, “HealthCare.gov marketplace application and enrollment system is currently unavailable. The tech team is working now to bring the system online as soon as possible.” This crash wasn’t even due to heavy traffic but rather a “software bug.” Not to worry; all you have to do is check a box saying you tried, and you’ll have another couple of weeks to get covered. The disaster rolls on.
