HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has resigned, marking the first major casualty of the launch of the ObamaCare exchanges, particularly of Hindenburg.gov – uh, Healthcare.gov. Barack Obama will nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, to the post. The White House is sticking to the story that Sebelius chose to resign, but with as much political damage as Democrats have sustained over the launch, it was only a matter of time before Obama’s “war on women” claimed her as a casualty. Sebelius managed to hang around until Obama could triumphantly announce his bogus 7.1 million enrolled figure, but she was notably absent from that touchdown dance. The bottom line is that ObamaCare will continue to be a disaster no matter who’s in charge because it’s an unwieldy and (we still maintain) unconstitutional behemoth.
