Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank says that Republicans didn’t apply the same pressure on Kathleen Sebelius that they are on Eric Holder and Barack Obama because of – you guess it – racism! “You’re not seeing calls for her impeachment, you’re not seeing the same level of personal vitriol,” he told MSNBC Thursday. “I think, that’s why, again, it’s fair to ask the question, and let every individual say why it is that they have that particular antipathy toward this attorney general, toward this president, and why not, say, toward Kathleen Sebelius, who they’re obviously much more at odds with.” The difference is, ObamaCare will never work regardless of who’s in charge at Health and Human Services. To have forced Sebelius’ resignation or impeachment would imply there isn’t a fundamental issue here (namely, government overtaking and mismanaging one-sixth of the economy), and that someone else could do the job better. Meanwhile, there are certainly others who can do a better job as attorney general or president that have respect for Rule of Law.
