The president thinks that not following his lead on immigration reform will “haunt” the GOP in Congress. “I think it is very important for Congress to recognize that this is going to be an issue that haunts them until it gets solved,” Barack Obama said. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has declined to trust Obama enough to move forward with any kind of reform because Obama has proved entirely untrustworthy. But Obama’s not happy that Boehner isn’t playing along. He said, “I’m hoping that once we get through some of the Republican primary season, maybe, you know, as we are still far enough away from November, that people see a chance to do the right thing.” The right thing is upholding Rule of Law. Obama should try it sometime.
