TheGrio.com bills itself as “the first video-centric news community site devoted to providing African Americans with stories and perspectives that appeal to them but are underrepresented in existing national news outlets.” Apparently, part of their mission is just making stuff up. The website’s Zerlina Maxwell appeared on MSNBC – another place where they make stuff up – to talk about ObamaCare. She took a shot at Republican governors rejecting Medicaid expansion, saying, “[W]e’re talking about 10,000 people a year that will die because Republicans are blocking Medicaid. So we’re talking life and death, and this is beyond the politics of it.” Where did she get her numbers? Who cares. Because Republicans.
