Barack Obama effectively delayed approval of the Keystone XL pipeline once again by extending the comment period on the project. A decision now may wait beyond the 2014 election. Surprise! Commentator Charles Krauthammer observed that “every economic argument is against this, and all that’s left … is pure ideology.” Not only that, he said, but, “It is a spit in the eye to Canada,” one of our closest allies. But Obama is playing politics, not wanting to anger unions or environmentalists before the election.
