The Patriot Post® · Another $121M on Healthcare.gov
The Department of Health and Human Services has already doled out roughly $677 million on Healthcare.gov, and they’re ready to spend another $121 million between now and January 2015 to fix remaining issues. Contractor Accenture Federal Services, which took over CGI Federal’s massive failure on building the website, announced in January that “CMS selected Accenture for a $45 million contract for the initial phase of the project,” which The Washington Post estimated was the first installment in a $90 million deal. Instead, it’s $121 million. Meanwhile, HHS is soliciting applicants for next year’s contractor services. By the time 2015 rolls around, at least $800 million (by this administration’s count) will have been spent on the federal exchange. Brought to you by the “Affordable” Care Act.
