You can always count on Democrats to fight the truly important battles. ObamaCare wreaking havoc on the health care system? Taxes and regulations torching economic growth? Foreign policy in shambles? None of those valiant efforts mean they’re too busy to craft a constitutional amendment to restrict free speech during campaigns. Or, as The Hill puts it, “Senate Democrats will schedule a vote this year on a constitutional amendment to reform campaign finance as they face tens of millions of dollars worth of attack ads from conservative groups.” In other words, Harry Reid is taking his sorry crusade against the Koch brothers to another level. Who would’ve thought “too much speech” is really what ails us?
