Earlier this year, Joe Biden said that the 11 million illegal aliens in this country “are already American citizens” in his book. Speaking for Cinco de Mayo celebrations, however, he backed off just a tad while reiterating the point. “They are Americans. They may not be citizens, but they are Americans.” Therefore, he said, it’s time for GOP leaders to “stand up” and pass immigration reform per Democrat guidelines. Likewise, Nancy Pelosi used the opportunity to stump for her policies. “House Republicans,” she said, should “emulate the bravery demonstrated in the Battle of Puebla, recognize the importance of immigrants and family unification, and give us a vote on a comprehensive bill that reforms our broken immigration system.” Two pandering politicos in a pod.
