The Obama administration has made a further hash out of foreign policy with its ridiculous hashtag campaign to #BringBackOurGirls – a reference to the hundreds of Nigerian girls kidnapped by the terrorist group known as Boko Harum. Meanwhile, there is no Twitter campaign for the release of Warren Weinstein, an American who was working in Pakistan when he was kidnapped by al-Qaida in August 2011. In fact, the administration has never really voiced any concern for him at all. Make no mistake – a hashtag isn’t going to bring Weinstein home either, but his family would like to have him back for his 73rd birthday this July. And we’d all like to know that the administration cares about Americans abroad.
