The Obama administration may keep a “hands off” list for individuals with connections to extremist groups overseas, allowing them to enter the country, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Judicial Watch. In 2012, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection let an individual alleged to be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and connections to other extremist groups in that region of the world board an international flight, touch down in the U.S. and let the person walk into the country. When Grassley questioned Commissioner of CBP R. Gil Kerlikowske on the matter, he got the runaround. “The Terrorist Watchlist is maintained by the Terrorist Screening Center,” Kerlikowske wrote to Grassley, “which was created by the Attorney General and is administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. All questions related to the watchlist should therefore be referred to the Department of Justice for response.” Why isn’t there a “hands off” list for U.S. citizens? TSA should get on that. More…
