After John Kerry tried wiggling his way out of testifying on the Benghazi terrorist attack, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa issued another subpoena to the state secretary. According to The Hill, “Issa previously had issued a subpoena for Kerry to appear on May 21, but lifted it after State agreed to an alternate date and discussions on Kerry testifying voluntarily.” To no one’s surprise, State’s tactic was little more than a political stunt. Issa says, “I lifted the subpoena requiring Secretary Kerry to testify on May 21 because the State Department made reasonable arguments for an accommodation and told our Committee they were seeking a suitable alternative date for his testimony on a voluntary basis. But soon after I lifted the subpoena, the State Department back tracked – stating publicly that we should accept 'a more appropriate witness' and refusing to commit to making Secretary Kerry available.” More…
