The silence from mainstream media on late-term abortions continues. First, it was Kermit Gosnell’s gruesome abortion shop in Philadelphia. Now, three former employees of a Texas abortion provider allege Douglas Karpen killed babies born alive after botched abortions with his bare hands. Yet, the media barely flicks any ink at the subject. Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List said, “With hearts broken for these suffering children, we ask the media to overcome the understandable recoil from this brutality and report the horrific facts of this case. The testimony and the photos are very, very difficult to take in, but this is a conversation that we must have as a nation. What are we as a society willing to tolerate?” Sure, reading about the NSA, Ukraine and what happened on Game of Thrones is much more digestible over morning coffee than scenes from an abortion room, but what happened to the fifth estate?
