White House Propaganda Minister Jay Carney did again Monday what he does best: Lie to avoid blame for trouble. Speaking of the deaths of veterans awaiting care at the VA facility in Phoenix as well as other secret waiting lists around the nation, Carney said, “I believe we learned about them through the reports. I’ll double-check if that’s not the case, but that’s when we learned about them.” In fact, the administration’s transition team was alerted to the problem in late 2008. Doesn’t Carney ever get tired of recycling lies?
