John Kerry is reporting for duty. And that duty is to prop up his weak boss’s sorry record on foreign policy. “I don’t think the president, frankly, takes enough credit for the successes that are on the table right now,” Kerry said. To prove his case, he points to three nations in which Obama has failed – Ukraine, Syria and Iran. Ukraine is still in crisis with Russia emboldened. Syria is making a mockery of the deadline to destroy its chemical weapons after repeatedly crossing Obama’s foolish “red line.” And Iran is progressing toward nuclear weapons because all Obama knows how to do is talk. But Kerry insists the measure of success is that “we are as engaged – more engaged – than in any time in American history.” Such boasting is not only empty but demonstrably false.
