Eco-alarmists are always hyperventilating in 10, maybe 20, years beachfront property will be gone and polar ice will go the way of the dinosaur. Yet they made these predictions in 2003 and where are we now? According to The Washington Times, the Pentagon is figuring out what to do after responding to global warming claims made a decade ago that turned out false. In a statement, the Pentagon told the Times, “The Department is incorporating consideration of likely future scenarios in planning to mitigate risk. … Even our approach to energy efficiency is focused on mission benefits and monetary savings, with carbon reductions as a side effect.” Maybe that includes developing tanks that run on electricity or solar power – green, except for the pounding of depleted uranium munitions and the crushing of steel treads.
