The Taliban Five released from prison for deserter Bowe Bergdahl will not be the last prisoners the Obama administration plans to release from Guantanamo Bay. A senior administration official said, “There are a significant number of transfers in the pipeline at various stages and I think you’re going to be seeing substantial progress this year.” So 13 years ago, we started sending our young men and women to the Middle East to protect our national security and now it’s all going to waste because of Obama’s game of POWs. Meanwhile, because of the trade, the Taliban is changing its tactics in Afghanistan to target “important birds.” A Taliban commander told Time magazine, “It’s better to kidnap one person like Bergdahl than kidnapping hundreds of useless people. It has encouraged our people. Now everybody will work hard to capture such an important bird.”
