FBI Director James Comey told reporters the bureau has opened an investigation into the VA Hospital system for allowing 40 veterans to die waiting for health care. The Washington Times reports, “[Comey] did not elaborate on the investigation, but a U.S. law enforcement official said earlier in the day that the Justice Department had formally asked the FBI to assist in reviewing materials provided by the inspector general’s office.” All we can say is go get ‘em, Comey, and don’t play into the politics that will certainly cloud the waters.
