When a 17-year-old female was approached by two thugs and and ended up with a gun to her head outside her home, one father did what he had to: alleviate the threat, and most importantly, save his daughter. The incident happened in St. Louis. According to the father, one of the perpetrators “was holding her hostage. She was a human shield. So I did what I had to do.” He drew his handgun and fatally shot one man; the other was wounded. “It just happened,” he added. “I didn’t have [a] choice. He had my daughter so I did what I had to do.” Former congressman Allen West responds, “I believe this man represents the essence of what Father’s Day is all about.
