In leftists’ alternate reality, the cause of every problem is “global warming.” From the war in Syria to the decline of the lobster population, greenhouse gases are the problem, they say, and when it comes to the economy, the Left can now pass the buck to blame gas-guzzling SUVs, methane-busting cows and America’s addiction to cheap electricity. The Wall Street Journal reports, “Former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, ex-New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer, a hedge-fund billionaire and major Democratic donor, [released] a report [Tuesday], Risky Business, that argues U.S. companies should treat climate change as any other business threat. The report, which says climate change could cost the country billions of dollars over the next two decades, is the product of a bipartisan group of former cabinet officers, lawmakers, corporate leaders and scientists.” For the Left, taking personal responsibility is not an option.
