In a sign that Egypt and Israel both don’t really want a visit from Secretary of State John Kerry, the senior U.S. diplomat was forced through an unusual protocol upon embarking from his plane in Cairo. The Blaze reports, “Kerry and his entourage were forced to undergo a metal detector security screening as they arrived for a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi in Cairo Tuesday, a message Middle East watchers say is rife with significance.” Naturally, the State Department brushed off the indignity, but with Israel set for a big victory against Hamas, the Obama administration is clearly only getting in the way.
