The Patriot Post® · Refugee Status for Honduran Children Will Fix Everything

The president has a plan to address the immigration crisis: Send U.S. officials to Honduras to grant refugee status to their children and bring them directly here, saving them the trouble of traveling through Mexico. It’s the least they can do for future voters. The White House says Congress is not needed for this particular adventure, which they might expand to Guatemala and El Salvador. According to The New York Times, the plan “would be the first American refugee effort in a nation reachable by land to the United States … putting the violence in Honduras on the level of humanitarian emergencies in Haiti and Vietnam, where such programs have been conducted in the past amid war and major crises.” Federal law doesn’t classify street gangs as a sufficient cause for granting refugee status, but Obama will fix that inconvenient fact with his pen.
