A congresswoman sitting on the House Committee of Veteran Affairs supports the troops – all the troops. Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA) sent out a mailer to her constituents saying something like, “Hi, I’m your congresswoman and if you need anything, contact me here, otherwise vote for me next time around!” Of course, Brownley’s mailer was decorated with stock images of America: smiling schoolchildren, families, farms, and some woman wearing a sorry excuse for a U.S. military uniform. Jeff Gorell, who is running against Brownley, pointed out the uniform is some mutant cross between a U.S. Navy uniform and a West German Luftwaffe uniform. Advisor to Concerned Veterans for America, Jessie Jane Duff, told The Daily Caller, “Washington is packed with politicians who love to pay lip service, to use our military veterans as props around election time. You would think that Rep. Brownley, who serves on the House Veterans Affairs Committee, would at least be able to do so correctly.” In her next mailer, Brownley should include an image of a terrorist.
