After the Sandy Hook tragedy, the leaders of the gun industry, the NRA and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) approached the Obama administration, offering their help to curb gun violence. According to author Frank Minter in his book “The Future of The Gun,” Obama rebuffed the gun industry. NSSF spokesman Larry Keane said, “If the Obama administration really wants to do something about illegal guns or gun violence, then they’d work with gun manufacturers, the NRA, and the rest of gun-rights groups.” Keane continued, “Obama isn’t interested in working with us. That, in his view, would legitimize us. He, unfortunately, is only interested in scoring political points. He’s in a perpetual campaign. That is unfortunate for the American people.” But Obama and the rest of the statist elite are not truly interested in curbing violence and criminals – only to ram their gun-control crazy train further down the tracks.
