Once again, Nancy Pelosi is all too eager to besmirch the character of her political opponents rather than engage in constructive dialogue. Speaking about immigration, Pelosi declared, “The fact is the way it is happening in Washington, DC, is not a way any Republican I know would take pride in. This is really something – how can they talk about all of their religious fervor and how they respect the dignity and worth of every person, the spark of divinity that exists in everyone of us, including themselves, hopefully, and treat people in a way that is almost subhuman? It is really a remarkable thing.” Insisting that people abide by the law is hardly treating them as “subhuman,” and it’s despicable for Pelosi to suggest as much.
