Canadian professor Dr. Ross McKittrick took a look at what’s often called “the pause” – the hiatus in observed global warming over the last several years, which has even been admitted by the Nobel Prize-winning UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). “I have published a paper proposing a definition of the length of the pause that is robust to autocorrelation and cherry-picking endpoints,” McKittrick wrote. “I make the duration [of the pause] out to be 19 years at the surface and 16-26 years in the lower troposphere depending on the data set used.” Sometimes we feel like a broken record on the subject, but it’s only because ecofascists keep arguing “the science is settled” when, in fact, it isn’t.
