Having been criticized by even the likes of Sen. Dianne Feinstein for being “too cautious” in responding to ISIL’s threats and actions, Barack Obama knew something had to be done. Press Secretary Josh Earnest bravely headed to the podium and said such caution was justified because it worked with the auto bailout. “That was a risky maneuver,” said Earnest of the auto bailout. “It would not have been possible without this president, who is sometimes described as cautious, making the bold decision that really paid off in spades for the American public.” It’s truly a sign of the times that such asinine remarks coming from this White House are no longer surprising.
