Not only is Vladimir Putin not intimidated by Barack Obama or the rest of NATO, he’s conducting training exercises in our backyard. “Two Russian strategic bombers conducted practice cruise missile attacks on the United States during a training mission last week that defense officials say appeared timed to the NATO summit in Wales,” reports The Washington Free Beacon. “The Russian Tu-95 Bear bombers were tracked flying a route across the northern Atlantic near Iceland, Greenland, and Canada’s northeast.” Meanwhile, NATO allies issued a stern statement from their summit: “Russia’s aggressive actions against Ukraine [which] have fundamentally challenged our vision of a Europe whole, free, and at peace.” Putin must be shaking.
