The Patriot Post® · Senate to Take Up New Military Force Authorization ... Later
The House voted Wednesday to authorize arming Syrian rebels, and now it’s the Senate’s turn. But the upper chamber is thinking bigger – as in a new authorization of force. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) said, “We’re going to take up the construction of a new authorization for the use of military force. The Hill spills the beans, adding that the delay is for the purpose of “dodging the danger of angering liberal voters this fall.” Bingo. Subordinating national security to domestic politics isn’t exactly profiles in courage.
